The Art of Care Academy Home Health Aide (HHA) program prepares current Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to be eligible care providers for Home Health and Hospice agencies to perform safe and excellent care. Successful students completing the program will receive a Certificate as a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA).

HHA Program
Requirements
- Must have a valid CNA Certificate
- Application & Live Scan Forms (forms are provided at the time of registration)
- Submit a completed application form (CDPH 283B)
- Copy of Live Scan Fingerprinting form (BCIA 8016) within one week of enrollment. Cleared Criminal Background Check
- Physical Examination with Medical History
- no older than six months prior to enrollment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Current (not older than six months) negative TB test results (PPD or CXR)
- Copy of current Drivers’ License or State ID and Social Security Card or ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number)
Course Format
The Home Health Aide program is taught through a combination of classroom hours at The Art of Care Academy’s campus in Citrus Heights, CA and hands-on training, including within a licensed long-term care facility.
Day Program: M-F, eight hours/day
Tuition & Registration
Tuition for the Home Health Aide (HHA) Program is $650. Tuition fees are all-inclusive of books and materials.

- Pay your registration fee. Note that all fees include a $250 non-refundable deposit.

- Complete registration paperwork, including a state application and health screening.
Orientation will be scheduled within one week of the start of class. At that time, the Academy will confirm that all requirements are met.
